Abundance is the award-winning, FCA regulated investment platform founded in 2012 with a mission to help turn members of the public into real stakeholders in things they care about. Our platform connects businesses and public sector bodies alike with investors large and small by issuing direct investments with social or environmental benefits. Ordinary people get the chance to build a portfolio of investments they truly believe in, while you get access to competitively priced, long term capital.
We began by establishing ourselves with issuers in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors, raising money across a range of project or company lifecycles. Abundance has also led in consumer finance with tax free returns in our ISA and pension, and allowing anybody to invest from £5. Now we are broadening out and being approached by issuers in other areas of infrastructure such as health, education, and transport. Our investors have told us they are actively seeking to diversify their portfolios into these sectors, which let them continue growing their money while creating a positive legacy.
Evidence of the appetite for this type of finance from issuers and investors is easy to find. We structured the UK’s first local authority solar bond. It sold out a month early and helped us win Solutions Partner of the Year in the 2017 Public Finance Innovation Awards. Lifecycle investments from construction to refinance have sold out in a matter of days; corporate bond offers saw very strong demand, as did first-of-a-kind project financing for geothermal power via a debt issuance. The Abundance ISA and Abundance Pension – both UK firsts in our sector – have pushed positive investment firmly into the mainstream. And we are still just at the beginning, with over £55 million raised and counting.
We are keen to work with like-minded companies and public sector organisations who want to engage people through a direct investment offer.CONTACT US
Corporate Clients should consider all risks before raising capital through Abundance and take independent advice where necessary. As with any investment product there are risks. For any financing raised, part or all of the investors invested capital may be at risk and any return on their investment depends on the success of the project invested in. Abundance investments may not be readily realisable (and their value can rise or fall). Financing may be secured or unsecured. Estimated rates of return can be variable and estimates are no guarantee of actual return. Specific risks will apply in relation to each financing product.
